Sleepless in San Jose

Down to the Last Two…

and I’m not talking about the Lakers and Celtics.

With the end of primary season with Montana and South Dakota holding their primaries today, Barack Obama finds himself just a few delegates away from the total needed to win the Democratic nomination. Is’s almost a sure bet that Obama will go on and win the nomination so it’s now down to him and John McCain.

Now the question is: Who will be Barack Obama’s running mate? Hillary Clinton has somewhat admitted she would be willing to be Obama’s VP and others have said Senator John Edwards would be a top choice of Obama’s. Either way it’s a good choice for him because he needs to strengthen his hold on working class white Democratic voters. Clinton and Edwards both represent that demographic group well.

The Democratic party, though very split right now between Clinton and Obama now must unite under one candidate if it wants to see a Democrat in the oval office. I voted for Hillary Clinton because I beleived her health care plan was better than Barack Obama’s but now that he looks to be the nominee I’m going to support him full-fledgedly. History should be made, and it will.

My vote for the Obama-Clinton ticket! The first African-American president and first woman vice president!

Believe in change!
